Coates will be aiming for the top in his Mini JCW, run by Elite Motorsport
Today at his home circuit Croft, Coates unveiled his 2020 title challenger. Having switched from the Clio Cup which has moved to support the British GT, Coates joins the grid of JCWs joining the TOCA package for the first time.
Many see the Mini championship as a stepping stone into BTCC, with 2019 champion James ‘Jiggy’ Gornall making his debut with Trade Price cars this year.
2020 sees the return of 2018 champion Ant Whortan-Eales with Jam Sport racing. Also announced today is the return of 2019 challenger Nathan Harrison, returning to the Excelr8 team.
The grid will line up at Donington Park for the season opener as they support the BTCC in what will be an entertaining 2020 season.
