Rebellion to cease all Motorsport activity

Swiss watch brand Rebellion has confirmed that it will cease all motorsport related activities following the 2020 Le Mans 24 Hours in June.

This means that the Anglo-Swiss Rebellion Racing team, a stalwart of 13 years of endurance racing in the FIA World Endurance Championship, and before that the Le Mans Endurance Series, will be disbanded following the French endurance race.

The team’s future collaboration with Peugeot on a HyperCar class prototype for the 2022 FIA WEC season has also been abandoned, although Peugeot Sport have confirmed that the project is still on track and will be completed without Rebellion backing.

Rebellion’s sponsorship of the European Le Mans Series will also come to an end following the announcement, with Rebellion CEO Calim Boudhadra stating that the brand strategy “must change“ going forwards.
