•  The FIA WEC round at Interlagos has been cancelled. The race organisers for the São Paulo event, scheduled for the 2nd February 2020, have been unable to fulfil the terms of their contract with WEC organisers. The Championship has organised a replacement race at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas on the 23rd February 2020

•  Rebellion have teamed up with Peugeot Sport for the French marques upcoming FIA WEC Hypercar programme beginning in 2022. Rebellion are currently the only privateer entrant remaining in the LMP1 class of the World Endurance Championship. It is unclear whether the current Rebellion programme will continue into the 2020/21 and 2021/22 WEC seasons.

•  The FIA World Motorsport Council has confirmed that the new Hypercar class will be known as Le Mans Hypercar, abbreviated to LMH. There is some confusion over the entry requirements for the new class, with the FIA stating that all entrants must “enter a homologated car under the name of an automotive brand”. However the ACO statement states that all entries will be “subject to approval by the Endurance Commission”. Where this leaves the status of the planned ByKolles and Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus entries is currently unclear.

•  Longtime Lamborghini factory driver Mirko Bortolotti has left the Italian marque to join Audi Sport as a factory driver from the 2020 season onwards. 

•  Sportscar racing stalwart Jan Magnussen has announced he will be running for Danish LMP2 squad High Class Racing at the upcoming FIA WEC Rookie Test in Bahrain later this month.

•  The 2020 McLaren Automotive Driver Development Programme drivers for 2020 have been announced. Katie Milner, Michael Benyahia, Harry Hayek and Alain Valente will join the British GT grid next season in a pair of GT4 McLarens run by Tolman Motorsport

•  The Nurburgring based VLN championship has changed its name to the Nurburgring Langstrecken Series in a bid to make the series easier to market.
